What else do you need to know about Eastport?
Eastport is an area that has contributed a lot to the rich history of the Annapolis area. It was its own city until 1951, when it officially became a part of Annapolis when it was annexed. It used to be a fishing and farming area, but has since become a charming residential hotspot, with restaurants, stores and parks sprinkled in.
As far as history goes, Eastport played a small role in the Revolutionary war. It was used as a temporary camp for Lafayette's troops, as well as the home to Fort Horn. Eastport is also home to the Annapolis Maritime Museum, making exploring some of the local history a breeze.
